DESCRIPTION:Open to the public \n  \nCome for the art and stay for the conversation! \n  \nCreate & Connect Art Socials is a free\, low-pressure art evening combining a brief art history lesson with a collaborative\, hands-on artmaking activity. Designed to keep things playful\, this event facilitates connections through shared creativity\, meaning there’s no “right way” to participate. \n  \nThis night’s theme\, Surrealist Girl September\, will feature a short presentation on Surrealist women artists (accompanied by a collectible zine) and the opportunity to create your own tableau vivant\, or “living picture\,” inspired by a chosen Surrealist artwork using materials provided by Cedars Union. A final photo will capture the completed reconstructed artwork\, and participants will leave with new art history insights\, a stronger sense of community\, and a fun keepsake from the night. Join the CU with hosts Carina Hernández and Mina Silva for this evening of learning\, laughter\, and lasting connections!
