Christina Vasquez
Christina Vasquez is a sculptor, new media artist, and curator based in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2025. Christina’s work explores themes of community and Hispanic heritage through a feminist lens. She uses food as a material, along with found objects and casting processes, to examine identity
as a Chicana woman in America. With a fascination for material culture, Christina incorporates culturally relevant objects to critique social norms and explore the complexities of cultural assimilation. Her work has been exhibited in gallery shows at 500X Gallery in Dallas, Texas; the Mid-South Sculpture Alliance in Birmingham, Alabama; Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee; the New York Academy of Art in New York City, New York; and the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas, Texas. She has also juried exhibitions with the Greater Denton Arts Council in Denton, Texas and, as a gallery member, curates exhibitions at The Eclectika in Irving, Texas
