Becoming a Community Member at The CU is perfect for those who need access to tools and workshops and want to stay connected with other artists but do not need micro-studio space. Applicants are accepted year-round.

    Co-Op membership

    New Co-Op Memberships are a small step toward a long term vision where artist members participate in the operations of The Cedars Union while also being an active CU artist. Co-Op Members receive a discounted rate and are open to new and existing Community Members, as well as Cohort Studio Members.

      • A fabrication lab with tools and equipment including a Juki industrial sewing machine, basic photography lighting, projector, a letterpress, small etching press, workspace tables on casters, easels, and more
      • A wet lab with a slop sink and oily waste bin
      • A woodshop with a scroll saw, table saw, and vertical band saw
      • Two tech labs including a PC station, a Mac station, vinyl cutter, plotter, 3D printer, and more
      • Access to professional meeting and event spaces and a shared kitchen
      • 20% discount on all ticketed events
      • Regular demos and workshops on facility and tools

      Membership Rates

      This membership requires a 6 month commitment and an estimated 3-5 hours of basic facility maintenance a month. Co-Op Members receive a $50 discount each month, which is $30/ month for Community Members (regularly $80 per month for 6 month commitment) and is $50 off of current Studio Artist leases per month.
