All skill levels are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary. You’ll explore the basics of working with a jeweler’s saw while designing and creating your own custom copper bookmark inspired by the spooky spirit of Halloween. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade bookmark and a taste of what it’s like to be a metalsmith for a day!
Felicia Jordan‘s work explores the personal and intrapersonal relationships we have with our physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Using techniques ranging from traditional carpentry to three dimensional fabrications, the works are created to show a visual representation of individual trauma’s experiences as well as the universality of loss. Her works are meant to elicit an empathic response from the audience. There are common traumas and pains that bring humans together as a form of bonding.
