Whereabouts is the second installation of CU affiliated artwork in CU’s popup project gallery, S14. Curated by the CU Curatorial Team (Brantly Sheffield, Laura Lawson, Lisa Horlander, and Catherine Cornelius), this exhibition explores the ways in which people connect to places with artworks that bring together nature, culture, and history, highlighting how environment actively shapes identity. Accompanying the artwork is an interactive piece inviting visitors to tell their own place-based story through the use of maps and stickers. The color-coded stickers, attached to questions such as “Where are you from?” and “Where do you miss?” allow the viewer to add their life’s journey to the exhibition.

Participation artists include Jessica Baldivieso, Catherine Cornelius, Laura Davidson, Hatziel Flores, Jessica Hilvitz, Lisa Horlander, Laura J. Lawson, Kevin Owens, Cat Rigdon, Brantly Sheffield, Lauren Tompkins, Desireé Vaniecia, and Phallon Wright. The show will run until October 22nd.
